TEAM OVERVIEW:
The Platform Team at Vital provides the core infrastructure for products developed by teams across all of Vital and Toshiba. It uses restful web services to supply common functionality for application launching, configuration, scalability, and user management. The platform supports workstation, workgroup (single-server), and enterprise (multi-server) deployments. It integrates with image scanners and other health information systems, enabling our clinical application developers to focus on the specifics of the clinical applications rather than re-developing infrastructure each time.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Software Engineer applies knowledge of industry best practices and software design patterns to solve complex technical problems. The Software Engineer also:
- Designs, implements, and tests features. Breaks down tasks and identifies dependencies between tasks, features, and components
- Works with architects, analysts, and other developers on product design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Applies software development and testing best practices to create high quality software
- Assists with development environment improvements and process refinement
