Senior Software Development Engineer, Large-Scale Object Storage at Bloomberg LP (New York, NY)

The Role:

Bloomberg Vault is looking for a software engineer with experience in large-scale object storage systems to join our compliance search and archiving team. The team is responsible for long-term archiving of communication and trade data. Our storage infrastructure currently manages 3.5 petabytes of data and 90 billion objects.

Bloomberg Vault is a startup in Bloomberg developing a cloud-based compliance archiving service, eDiscovery tools and real-time compliance monitoring infrastructure. Our software, which is hosted in Bloomberg Secure Private Cloud, has gained rapid market adoption with over 900 enterprises.

You will join a growing group in Bloomberg that develops cutting edge distributed, highly parallelized, big data processing, storage and analytic cloud services for the financial industry.

- Work in small, fast-paced teams to develop products backed by the resources of Bloomberg.
- Design and code applications that operate on massive amount of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate closely with our business and internal teams to implement your technical vision.
- Participate in the entire software life cycle and all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution.
